Austin Air

Austin air uses either a 4 or 5 Stage filtration system in their air purifiers. In Stage 4 air filters through a True Medical Grade HEPA removing 99.97% of all particles larger than 0.3 microns and 95% of all particles larger than 0.1 microns which includes viruses and bacteria. Stage 5 filtration offers additional protection. For air purifiers with a Stage 5 filtration, air is filtered through The Military-Grade HEGA (High-Efficiency Gas Arrestance) Carbon Cloth. The HEGA provides an extremely large surface area for adsorption of chemicals, gases, viruses, and bacteria. Austin air offers the Stage 5 Military-Grade HEGA Carbon Cloth, an antimicrobial in the Bedroom Machine. Other Austin air purifiers with the HEGA Carbon Cloth are: The Allergy Machine, Allergy Machine Junior, and Baby’s Breath.  

The Military-Grade HEGA is an excellent option when comparing it to air purifiers with the UV light.
